Ospar Commission
I am Barnaby Thompson, a Year 10 student at Dunraven School in London, and over the past week, I have completed my work experience with OSPAR . This experience has given me valuable insight into marine conservation and environmental policy. I also had the opportunity to develop my communication skills through tasks such as creating thank-you messages for the Ministerial Meeting, posting videos on YouTube, updating the website, and much more. Overall, this placement has deepened my interest in environmental issues and shown me the impact of international collaboration in protecting our oceans as “The ocean does not respect national boundaries.”

From the OSPAR Secretariat - We've loved having Barnaby with us this week. It's been really refreshing to have a young person around to remind us of the importance of our vision and to give us an insight into how better to engage the people who will inherit our shared ocean. This week's newsletter contains links to some of the things Barnaby has helped with during the week.
