JERICO-NEXT General Assembly
Deputy Secretary Jo Foden joined JERICO-NEXT in Galway, Ireland, for the project’s 2nd General Assembly, 24-27 September 2018. The project aims to provide operational services for the timely, continuous and sustainable delivery of high quality environmental data and information products related to marine environment in European coastal seas, to improve cooperation in coastal observatories in Europe. Jo chaired the project’s User Engagement Panel, overseeing interesting presentations and lively discussions by the users of observatory data and information who come from public authorities, policy, research, education and operational communities including industry sectors. The outcomes of the Panel will inform the direction and focus of some of JERICO-NEXT’s deliverables during its final stage of work and will be useful considerations for drafting a project follow-on proposal.
