Assessment templates
This QSR 2023 resource page contains the templates to be used for assessments that are prepared as contributions towards the QSR 2023.
Common indicator assessments
The common indicator assessments should be prepared in the common indicator template. The template is supported by a template guidance document which describes the content to be provided as well as an enumeration list. The common indicator assessment template includes an Addendum excel template where results of relevance for EU MSFD reporting should be included. This file is supported by a separate excel guidance file.
Candidate indicator based pilot assessments should be prepared using the common indicator template.

Versions of the common indicator assessments will be maintained on SharePoint. This includes pre-populated zero-versions of the templates which have been completed based on the most recent assessment of the indicator.
Thematic assessments
The thematic assessments should be prepared in the thematic asessessment template. The template is supported by a template guidance document which describes the content to be provided. The thematic assessment template includes an Addendum excel template where results of relevance for EU MSFD reporting should be included. This file is supported by a separate excel guidance file.

Other assessments
Other assessments prepared as technical assessment contributions towards the QSR 2023 by OSPAR experts should use the other assessment template.
Spatially restricted case studies should be prepared using the template for ‘other assessments’.
Third party assessments are considered to be assessments completed by a third party for the expressed purpose of being used by OSPAR for the QSR 2023. These assessments should be prepared using the third party assessment template.
