Action 59: Good practice database
Action Title: Establish a database on good practice examples of marine litter measures and initiatives and share this database with other Regional Seas Conventions in order to make action more visible to the public.

What is the issue?
There are many initiatives taking place at different scales that can be learned from, the aim of this action was to be able to keep track of these resources and share knowledge.
What has OSPAR Done?
Within OSPAR ICG-ML maintains an informal database of initiatives, OSPAR also draws on efforts from other initiatives to collate such information, for example the EU Interreg CleanAtlantic Project that ended in 2021.

An online Knowledge Tool was created as a part of the EU Interreg Atlantic Area European Development Funded project CleanAtlantic and contributes to Action 59. The content of this tool does not represent the views or position of the OSPAR Commission or its Contracting Parties.
